IV. Percentages of Gateway / End-of-Course Tests for Students

For all Gateways and EOCs (End of Course exams), the test will count “no less than 15% of the grade in the semester in which the student is tested.” For a school on 4x4, the second semester can be determined to be the second 9 weeks term.

At Johnson County High School, the percentage EOC/Gateway tests will count will 15% of the semester in which the test is taken. Currently, Johnson County High School is on block schedule so the test will count 15% of the second nine-weeks grading period. This will make the test 7.5% of the total grade.

V. SCALING OF RAW SCORES TO BE USED AS TEST GRADES (Updated 5/14/2008)

The EOC and Gateway test scores are raw and must be scaled to a 0-100 scale. The suggested format is based on statistically derived values from TN test data. Below is the format for the Spring, 2008 administration:
