A Message from the Director
On behalf of our students and staff, I welcome you to the Johnson County School System (JCSS) Website. I encourage you to explore all areas of our website, and hope that you will find information that is beneficial to you.
The mission of the Johnson County School System is to "educate all students in a safe, positive environment where they can achieve their individual potentials."Education has been a vital part of our community since 1806 when our county's first formal system of education was established. Today, our school system has five K-6 schools, one K-5 school, one 7-8 middle school, and one 9-12 high school that includes a vocational-technical school. We serve approximately 2,345 students in K-12, 90 Head Start and pre-school students, and 200+ adults in Adult Education.
Again, I thank you for visiting our website and hope it will be informative and interesting to you.
