'Building Bridges To Success'

2009-2010 Staff Development Opportunities

This site will update on a frequent basis so please check back often to explore other professional development opportunities.

Principals are providing at least two days of required inservice at each school during the 2009 Summer. If a teacher chooses the stipend option, they may not count that day towards the inservice requirement. Assistants are also invited to attend of space is available. There are other additional opportunities available but teachers must have prior approval of the building level principal to substitute required inservice days.

There are eight required days of inservice annually:  Summer (2 or 3); System wide Inservice (1); Workdays at schools (2); Parent Teacher Conferences (1); Faculty meetings throughout the year (1).

Additional inservice time that is accumulated may be used toward license renewal and should be documented on the annual professional development form that is returned to Central Office.

All in-services begin at 8:30 unless otherwise noted.
